TheGundogTrainer.com and Hextor Gundogs are pleased to offer One to One Shootover Training on Pheasant and Partridge at a superb private estate at Barcombe in East Sussex, UK. These sessions are available to be booked EVERY DAY throughout the coming shooting season ( except Sundays and Xmas Day ).  Lead instructor will be Paul Wilson.

 

Each client will be able to shoot a maximum of FOUR (4) birds per half day with instruction and feedback as required. ( EIGHT birds per full day ).

 

We individually tailor days to cater for total Novices through to experienced owners / dogs. Examples are :-

 

1.    Handle your HPR with instruction to Hunt, Point, Flush ( you shoot with your own gun ) and Retrieve;

2.    Handle your HPR with instruction to Hunt, Point, Flush ( you shoot with one of our guns if you don’t have your own ) and Retrieve;

3.    Handle your HPR with instruction to Hunt, Point, Flush ( we shoot if you don’t wish to ) and Retrieve;

4.    Handle your HPR with one of our fully trained HPRs working as a brace to Hunt, Point, Flush ( you or we shoot ) and Retrieve ( this will suit people interested in HPR ‘ Brace Working ‘ in the field or those people wishing to compete in some overseas competitions );

5.    Act as a gun with us handling our fully trained HPRs ( suitable for those who are considering HPR ownership to actually use in the shooting field ).

Whether you wish to work or brush up on certain things with a view to formal competition or are thinking of using your HPR in the shooting field, we can help.  If you intend to ‘ Rough Shoot ‘ with your HPR or just wish to experience shooting over fully trained HPRs before taking the plunge with your own working HPR, this will be an ideal opportunity to do so.

Don't have a gun ? If you require instruction in the use of a shotgun, this will be provided as part of the package at no extra cost but the duration of the session will not be extended for this.

Prices :- Shooting Season ONLY EVERY DAY except Sundays and Christmas Day ( 1st September 2023 to 1st February 2024 for Partridge, 1st October 2023 to 1st February 2024 for Pheasant   ) :-

£ 200 per half day ( 0930 – 1230 or 1300 – 1600 )

£ 400 per full day ( 0930 – 1600 )

Whilst full days can be booked if required, there is unfortunately no discount for this as the price of birds is fixed. A full day is 0930 to 1600 with half an hour lunch break, tea and coffee breaks as required.
